Thanks for reply but my issue is that estimated payments entered are not being picked up in the tax calc and consequently the  standard deduction was used. Itemized deductions including the state estimated payments exceed the standard deduction. Not sure why system is not including the state payments i entered.

I converted a rental unit to personal use in September 2024.  When I did my 2024 taxes, I failed to say it was converted.  Should I amend my 2024 taxes to show this, and  then prepare my 2025 taxes?

When you entered the 1099-R in TurboTax for the rollover from the traditional 401(k) to the traditional IRA, there are several questions that follow after the numbers are entered in.  One of the questions is "Did you move the money to a Roth IRA?"  If you answered Yes, it would make this non-taxable rollover taxable.  Even though you did eventually convert this money over to a Roth IRA, this question should be answered as No since the other 1099-R for the Roth conversion is reporting this information.   When you enter the 1099-R for the rollover and the conversion, the rollover will show up on Form 1040 line 5a with the amount of the rollover, and line 5b will be zero and line c will have the Rollover box checked.  The conversion will show up on line 4a and 4b as the amount converted.  The total of line 4b and 5b are the taxable amounts, so since 5b is zero, the taxable amount will be the amount reported on line 4b.
I remember paying for a 2024 software to file my 2024 but I can't find it.
Yes, you should both have your individual Credit Karma accounts.   It will track your individual credit reports; these cannot be merged or combined.

Sounds like something got stuck. You can try these things:   Log Out Completely: Before doing anything else, click Sign Out in the TurboTax menu. Clear Cache and Cookies: This removes old, "corrupted" data that might be confusing the website. Use an Incognito (Private) Window: This is the most effective "quick fix" because it launches the browser without any saved history or extensions (like AdBlockers) that often interfere with tax forms. Check Pop-up Blockers: TurboTax often opens forms (like the 1099 PDF) or payment windows in a separate pop-up. Look at the right side of your address bar for a small icon with a "red X"—click it and select "Always allow pop-ups from Intuit." Restart the Browser: Close all open windows of your browser entirely and then reopen it.   Most TurboTax errors happen because the browser is trying to use an old "session" from a previous visit. By clearing the cache or using Incognito mode, you force the browser to establish a brand-new, secure connection with the Intuit servers.

Yes, the software is likely keeping a hidden worksheet active. To delete it for good, try these steps in order:   The "Forms Mode" Method (If using Desktop/Pro versions):   Switch to Forms Mode (usually a button in the top right). Look at the list of forms on the left. Find the one labeled "Foreign Pension" or "Canadian Pension Worksheet." Click it, then select Delete Form at the bottom of the screen when it appears. Check if there is also a "Foreign Tax Credit" (Form 1116) or a "Statement of Foreign Income" linked to it and delete those as well. The "Delete a Form" Tool (If using Online versions):   Go to Tax Tools on the left menu, then select Tools.  Click Delete a form from the pop-up list. Find the Canadian pension worksheet or foreign pension.  If you see it, delete it. Immediately after deleting, sign out of the software and sign back in. This clears the "cache" that often causes the form to reappear when you navigate back to the Social Security section.

Resolved by: Prior to Wednesday, 3/11, importing data from Fidelity was not possible due to something like 'automatic uploads not supported for this source', so I uploaded pdf versions from my computer. These were involved in this reported issue. On Wednesday, I tried importing from Fidelity again and found it worked. Deleted previously uploaded forms from Fidelity and went through dialog using only the imported data. That worked without the repeated 'needs review' issue.

In TurboTax Business for an S-Corp, the checkbox for "farming" is found under Business Info >> About Your Business. Navigate to this topic and follow these steps to eliminate any farming settings in your return.   Edit the line for "Type of Business" and confirm there is no check in the box for "Make, buy, grow, or raise products to sell?" Continue to the next page and confirm there are no questions about your product industry. If so, be sure to uncheck the box for "Grower/farmer." If you do make products to sell, be sure to check the correct boxes for product industry and enter your product sold. Continue through the interview and confirm you are not asked about a "Farming Business." If you see the page "Farming Summary," delete the entry under Name of Farm. Complete the interview for Business Info until you are taken to the Federal Taxes topic. Click on Farming and confirm the page is titled "Do you have farming activity?" Click NO. If you see "No Farm Entered," return to Business Info and work through all the pages until you're back on Federal Taxes. This final run-through should clear your business settings.

It depends (whether your short-term disability (STD) payment should be included on your tax return).   If the premium was a deduction on your paycheck that came out after your taxes were calculated, the benefit is tax-free. You do not need to report it anywhere on your tax return.   If the company paid for the coverage as a benefit (and didn't add the cost of those premiums to your taxable wages), the benefit is fully taxable.   If the premium came out of your check before taxes (like a 401k or health insurance premium), the benefit is fully taxable.     A third-party insurer is still required to provide you with a tax form if the amount is taxable (and will include the insurer’s name and EIN).   Occasionally, it may be reported in Box 3 ("Other Income") of a 1099-MISC.   Re-Check Box 12 of your W-2 for Code "J" (if it is there, your employer has already included the disability pay in your main W-2 "Wages" (Box 1));.     If your disability income IS taxable (employer-paid) but you haven't received a W-2 or 1099-MISC from the insurance company, then contact them.  Ask them if a tax form was issued or if they consider the benefit non-taxable.     If you are required to report it but have no form, you can enter it as "Other Income" (found under the Wages & Income tab > Less Common Income > Miscellaneous Income > Other reportable income (with the description: "Third-party disability pay").

@MarilynG1 NOPE.  The only change was TurboTax updated itself.
