I suggest using efile again. Amending a returning would not be appropriate until you have an accepted efile or have mailed a paper return.

I get a picture of every letter that USPS delivers everyday in my email, on the 9th of March I got an email from them with the picture of my letter from the treasury department with my $2708 check in it, it was never delivered and I suspect someone at the post office, It was never delivered, I have camera watching my porch  Is there anyway to find out if it has been cashed?

I am going to wait until Friday morning to see if the update corrected the problem. If the same error and rejection occurs then all of us will have to post about this again. If you are referring to the filing fee, I believe it is for a successful filing. My rejected filings in past years have never resulted in additional fees.
