I am the trustee on an account that my niece was the beneficiary on. She wanted to cash out. We did that in September 2024. i now have a form 1099 DIV and did not include that in my return. do i need to amend?

Did your niece receive the income or you? If your niece received the income, then you need to issue her a 1099 as a nominee so she can report the income on her return.

See the response by Diane in this link for how to file a nominee return. Just do not enter half if she received the full amount, enter the entire amount.
