I have 2024 TT desktop (Home & Business) and have completed my federal return. When I began the NJ state return, the program automatically seems to pull in other income from TX and is applying it to the NJ state tax basis. For instance, the NJ state program is counting income from my TX jury duty and a rental that I maintain in TX. Help needed...because the program will not let me exclude this income. The only NJ income I have is the 1099NEC.

Did you actually work in NJ? If you did the work in TX, that income is not taxable in NJ. But assuming you did work in NJ, make sure you are completing a nonresident NJ tax return. Instructions linked here.
When you go through a nonresident return, TurboTax will show you all of your income and ask you how much of that income belongs to NJ. Go back through the nonresident return and make sure you only allocate the business income to NJ.
Yes, I am filing as a NJ nonresident as I lived 365 days in TX but did remote contractor work for a NJ based business (received a 1099-NEC). I have deleted and re-entered info for the NJ state return 3 times...Yet in the NJ state program in the "Other Income Statement" I signified that the jury duty and rental incomes were both $0 attributable to NJ. However, on Form NJ-1040NR, this "other income" is still being counted as NJ income...Help is still needed...to understand how to remedy the problem.
In the New Jersey state interview, you get individual screens asking amount of various income items attributable to NJ. If you entered 0 for these items, they shouldn't be taxable in NJ.
Be sure you entered in the Personal Info section that you lived in Texas all year, and that you're preparing a Non-Resident NJ return.
If you're using TurboTax Online, close the program, clear your Cache and Cookies and return to the NJ interview and step through the screens again.
