What does accessed mean?

TurboTax is letting you know that someone (you, in this case) signed into your TurboTax account.  This message is sent to you on the off-chance that your account was accessed without your knowledge.  This most often occurs when you login using a different device or computer than you used the last time you logged in.

Once the IRS begins processing your tax return, on or after opening day of January 27th, you should receive your refund within 21 days of acceptance. After January 27th, you can begin tracking your refund.

Updates are made daily, usually overnight. You may also download the IRS2Go app to check your Federal refund status.

Most taxpayers receive their refunds within 21 days of filing their return if they have elected direct deposit.  Taxpayers who have requested a check usually have their check mailed within four weeks. 

If your refund contains the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit, federal law requires that your refund cannot be processed until the middle of February.

Hello , I filled my taxes on 2/2 and my return still pending. is more that 48 hours . in addition, i got an email that my return was accessed. Is something to do with this situation ? is pending because was accessed. I open my return several times to check the status, I accessed my own return.

In this context, "accessed" means that your account has been logged into, or a return has been opened.

If you logged into your TurboTax account and opened your return, then you accessed the information and therefore that is the reason for the email you received.

The TurboTax system automatically sends you an email whenever your account has been logged into, or when a return is opened.
