I recently did a research experience for undergraduates (REU) in Texas. Considering, Texas has 0 income tax, do I have to report the stipend?
If so, where would I report this information? I asked the institution I worked at and they said that they didn't have any papers to give me for taxes.

Are you a Texas resident? If not, and if you live in a state with an income tax, the income would be taxable by your home state. Your state of residence can tax all your income, regardless of where you earn it.
