Why does my student loan interest say 0 after entering the actual amount

The loan is through my mom's name, but I was paying for it.  I saw the option for a loan under someone else's name and I entered the amount and every time after clicking okay, the amount changes to $0.

Why does my student loan interest say 0 after entering the actual amount

If the student loan is not in your name, you cannot claim the interest.  Only the person whose name is on the loan can claim it.  Even if you made the payments.
