Where’s the 1098-t located

To report the 1098-T follow the steps below:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Go to Federal Taxes.
3. Go to Deductions and Credits.
4. Scroll down to Education and click show more.
5. Go to Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098-T).

I am trying to enter my payments received for qualified tuition (Box #1) on my 1098T in the deductions and credits section and it already has 0 populated in the space. It says that I already entered that information earlier. I have gone through the whole return and I didn`t enter that before. How do I enter the correct amount?

To file your 1098-T please follow the steps below:

1. Open (continue) your return, if you're not already in it.
2. In TurboTax, search for 1098T .
3. Click Jump to 1098T in the search results.
4. Answer any education questions that pop up (enrollment status, name of school, and so forth).

• If you land on the Education Expenses Summary screen, click Edit next to the student in question, then edit the Tuition item.

If you still have problems getting to this area using the Jump to, try this:

1. go to Deductions and Credits.
2. Select I'll choose what I work on
3. Scroll down to Education
4. Select Expenses and Scholarships (Form 1098T)
5. Answer questions until you  get to Your Education Expenses Summary.
6. Edit as needed.
