If you have a 1098E for a student loan you can enter the interest you paid.

If you have a 1098 from a mortgage lender you can enter the interest you paid for your mortgage.

Interest paid on a mortgage or on student loans are reported on a tax return but in different areas of the return. Let us know if you need help with that.
