The deduction phases out at certain income limits. Additionally, if there were any points involved, Turbotax will factor thm in.
The deduction phases out between $65,000 and $80,000 ($135,000 and $165,000 married filing jointly).
If you entered the Form incorrectly, go back and edit or delete the original entries.

Did you enter it incorrectly? The 1098 E can only be entered by the user.
