My 1098 for an HELOC has an amount in box 2 of $0.00 (which is correct), however, Turbo Tax will not accept $0 as a value in that box. How should I proceed?

This is a line of credit that had a $0 balance at the beginning of 2018.  We borrowed from it during 2018, paid interest and received a 1098 from the lender.

In this case, enter the total amount you borrowed from the HELOC in 2018.  TurboTax is just looking for an opening outstanding balance.
