Is a Solo 401K considered having a "retirement plan at work" if I didn't contribute to it during the tax year?
I'm a resident of CA but didn't work in CA in 2023. I worked/lived in HI for 6mos. Am I rqd to file taxes in both states? Would I be considered part yr resident in both
I earned say $5 in NY, moved and earned $95 by working in a different WA-based company while living in WA. Then why is the $95 being considered as non-resident NY income?
Why did I have to pay for the deluxe version for my taxes? I’m considered low income ($6000 work study) because I am a graduate student and do not have any loans.
I work for the same company as last year but my employer's name has changed due to being bought out. Is this considered a new employer or the same?
