I am a full time student, I am a dependent on parents taxes, I rented an apartment and a home while attending college. Do I qualify for the homestead property tax?

If you filed your own income tax return and were not a dependent on your parent's tax return, you would be able to claim the Homestead Property Tax Credit.  Please see the LINK below for Michigan's Department of Treasury Website- specifically the section on eligibility for the Homestead Property Tax credit.
