You are considered 'less than part time' since you withdrew after three weeks. You have to be 'at least half time' for five months (not necessarily consecutive) during 2020 to qualify for the American Opportunity Credit.

For others reading this, there is no 5 month rule, for this tax benefit. The rule is
So a quarter (rather than a semester) or even a short summer session would qualify.
