The lender receiving your monthly student loan payments should have provided you with a form 1098-E to report the Student Loan interest with your Income Tax return. The student loan interest is what you will be reporting from your payments.

Received refund from overpayment on 2022 taxes and received 2023 1099-INT for interest on overpayment, but did not receive interest on the refund and did not have any outstanding payments due. Was the missing interest credited toward my 2023 tax bill?
