My daughter started out as Full time student away at college and then dropped a course and became part time. Am I eligible to claim her as a dependent?

She would have had to been a fulltime student for any parts of 5 calendar months, in order to qualify as a dependent under the Qualifying Child rules (or was under age 19 on 12-31-2023).
If that's not the case, you look to see if she qualifies under the qualifying relative rules and that usually means her income, for the year, must have been under $4700.
