The reason one would say they are a full time student would include allowing a parent to claim you as a qualified child dependent, or to seek education credits because you paid tuition, received scholarship money, grant money, etc. Since you are in the military, you are indeed attending classes, but I cannot think of a good reason to say on your tax return that you are a student.
Q. Does being in technical school in the military count as being a full-time student?
A. No. For tax purposes, you are not in school, you're at work.
