Previously (2019 and before) I claimed my daughter while in college and the total amount on the 1098-t was used on my taxes. I paid for the college tuition out of my checking account. This year my daughter claimed herself and claimed the full amount on the 1098-t. However, $9000 of that money came from my checking account and the remaining $4000 were student loans that were in her name. Should I be able to use the $9000 that was paid from my checking account (not a loan....my money) on my 2020 taxes?

Since she was not claimed as a dependent on your tax return you cannot enter any education expenses for her on your tax return.
She gets to claim those expenses on her tax return.
Thank you for the reply. That definitely answers my question.
