1098-Two schools = half time, but neither marked box 8

My daughter attended two different schools which would equal part-time (or more than part-time).

But since the units were split between the two schools, neither school checked box 8.

Can we still consider that box checked for tax purposes?

A. Yes, but not exactly. Do not check the box on the 1098-T.  After entering the 1098-T, the follow up interview will allow  you to claim "Half time or more".
