When filling out the remote income section, you should generally include the same income for tax purposes that you would normally include on your federal and state returns.
This includes any income earned from remote work, such as salaries, wages, tips, freelance work, and self-employment income. You may have received a 1099-NEC, 1099-MISC, or W-2 for remote work. Be sure to include all these forms of income, plus any other remote income you have earned.
