There are different ways to enter income on Schedule 1 line 8z in TurboTax, depending on the type of income and how it was reported. What kind of income are you trying to enter? Was the income reported on a Form 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, or other tax form?
Not on any 1099. This is trust/beneficiary other income. 8z corresponds to it.
Didn't you get a Schedule K-1 from the trust? Where is the income shown on the Schedule K-1?
You should have received a Schedule K-1 from the trust for any income that was distributed to you as a beneficiary. If you did not receive the Schedule K-1, ask the trustee for it. Go to the following link for instructions to enter income from a Schedule K-1 in TurboTax.
Where do I enter a Schedule K-1 that I received?
The tag below your question says you are using TurboTax Credit Karma DIY Free. I don't know if you will be able to enter the Schedule K-1 in that version. You might have to upgrade to a paid version of TurboTax. The software will tell you if you need to upgrade. Read the screens carefully.
Schedule 1 line 8z does not "correspond" to one particular type of income. Many different types of income can be entered on line 8z. How you make an entry on line 8z in TurboTax depends on the specific type of income.
Did not receive any Schedule K-1. This is beneficiary, ordinary loss 8z. Using paid/highest level of turbo tax. Looks like limitation of turbotax? and probably need taxplus/draco/better sw?
Here's how you can enter "other income" on Schedule 1 line 8z in TurboTax with a description that you enter.
