Hello!
In 2021 I purchased an Apple laptop and also purchased the AppleCare warranty.
I am intending to report this laptop as a section 179 asset for my sole proprietor business. When declaring the cost of this purchase, may I include the cost of the warranty as part of the asset?
If not, could I include the cost of this warranty as an Insurance cost expense?

You should separate the AppleCare and report as an Insurance expense.
