Started a side business

If I started a small side business can I still use deluxe to file my expenses and income or do I need a different version? I am not self employed.

Started a side business

It depends on what you need to file for your side business. If you are planning on filing a Schedule C to claim income from your side business, you can use the Deluxe Edition. However, if you are going to use the Schedule C to itemize and claim expenses, you will need the Self-Employed Edition. Because it is your business, you would be considered self employed, even if you have a W-2 from your main employer.
