Schedule D Part II Line 13 is reporting capital gains distributions that appear nowhere in my entries. Selecting line to entry goes to schedule B interest and dividends.

Amount on line 13 more than doubles the capital gains reported on my 1099-B's. The jump to hourglass says the amount comes from Schedule B Interest and Dividends but there is no amount on that form that corresponds to the line 13 entry.

Your capital gain distributions would come from a Form 1099-DIV which would primarily report dividends. They would be listed in box 2a of that form. While they will appear on the Dividend Income Smart Worksheet in TurboTax on Schedule B, they won't appear on the Schedule B that you file with your tax return though, so you may not see it there.

I suggest you look at the Form 1099-DIV you have in your program to see if there is a duplicate, and if so you can delete it:

1. Choose the Tax Tools option on your left menu bar while working on your return

2. Choose Tools

3. Choose the Delete a form option under Other Helpful links

4. Find the duplicate Form 1099-DIV in the list and delete it
