Supposedly available now.
Are you using the Free Edition? It doesn't have Schedule A. You don't need Schedule A if you are taking the Standard Deduction.
Schedule A is available now. Unless you have a disaster loss then it will be available on 01/17/2024.
Although, your post shows you are using the TurboTax Free online edition which does not support Schedule A for itemized deductions. You would need to be using the Deluxe or Premium online edition for the Schedule A and those editions are not Free.
Additionally you would need total itemized deductions which are greater than the Standard Deduction for your Filing Status to have any tax benefits.
Standard deductions for 2023
Single - $13,850 add $1,850 if age 65 or older
Married Filing Separately - $13,850 add $1,500 if age 65 or older
Married Filing Jointly - $27,700 add $1,500 for each spouse age 65 or older
Head of Household - $20,800 add $1,850 if age 65 or older
Thank you, yes that sounds right. I didn't need it last year and the standard deduction IS greater than anything I have otherwise, so I wondered why they were hanging me up - for no reason apparently. Thanks.
