Can you tell me what are the schedule 3, nonrefundable credits?

Schedule 3, nonrefundable credits include credits like the foreign tax credit, credit for child and dependent care expenses, education credits from Form 8863 and retirement savings contributions credit.

You can preview your 1040 to see what credits have calculated by using these steps:

  1. While in your return, click Tax Tools > Tools  (in the black bar at the side of the screen).
  2. In the Tools Center, under Other helpful links click on View Tax Summary
  3. Click on the Preview my 1040 link in the black bar at the side of the screen.
