Why is CA form 568 asking for my "total assets end of year?" I am a single member LLC. No Schedule L. No balance sheet. Can't get past this point.

I have a SMLLC for rental property and I don't need to file Schedule L with Form 568, so I don't have a number that I can carry from line 14 Total Assets on Schedule L to Page 1 Item G: Total assets at end of year. What should I do: enter 0 or value of property, or leave it blank?  Thank you.

Per the instructions for California Form 568, SMLLC's are not required to complete Schedule L. In this case, leave the box blank. If you see a forms error, enter zero.

Thank you PatriciaV.

I have another question on Form 568 Side 2 Question AA: Is any member of the LLC related to any other member of the LLC?  I do have two LLCs owned by the same owner and there is no business transaction between the two and they are totally independent.  Should I say Yes or No?  Thank you.

Your answer to this question is No as the question relates only to the SMLLC reporting on Form 568. You are the only member, so you cannot be related to another member. Each LLC files a separate Form 568.
