What 1099 am I supposed to prepare, because the instructions are confusing?
I have a multi-member (partnership) LLC. Last year I paid $700 to an Accountant (from an Accounting LLC) to prepare my LLC 2021 taxes. Using their billing system, I used my LLC Debit Card to make the full payment.
TT Business is not clear on whether to use a 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC. Also, when trying either, at the bottom of the initial information page it says "Note: Do not include amounts paid electronically (ie. through debit/credit card,..."

STOP ... no 1099 is required since you paid with a CC/debit card. The accountant will get a 1099-K from the CC company.

Wow, thank you. The Accountant I worked with told me that I needed to file one with her group this year. Maybe she didn't realize that her company process preferred CC payments.
