Transaction Code 766 is for credits applied to your account (like earned income credit, child tax credit, etc) while 768 is specifically for the Earned Income Credit. If you see both, it means you're getting different types of credits.

We have income in a non-resident state. That income did not show up on the non-resident state tax form. The non-resident state found that error after the filing. Why?
