Schedule C and 8995 still NOT AVAILABLE even though tables say they are!! WT?

Delayed filing my biz taxes for the last 20 days because the "available" tables said that form 8995 would be available on 2/20.  ITS 2/20!!!  Tables say it is"available", but the turbotax software update says my tax program is "up to date" and still CANNOT USE 8995 or Schedule C!!!!  So much for the availability.  ANY NEW UPDATES?  The availability tables are NOT RIGHT.

Can you tell me a little more about what is happening, and in which version of the software?   Are you not able to see them at all or do you get an error message?

Many desktop software users did need to run two updates today, depending on the time of day that the update ran.  Online users should find the program working correctly but may need to clear browser cache & cookies and delete forms (this will not delete entered data) using the method below, to recalculate them:

To remove the form from your tax return follow these steps:

  1. Login to your TurboTax account at TurboTax.com.
  2. Click on Tools in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen (Note: if you do not see Tools first click on Continue where I left off or Take me to my return).
  3. Click on Tax Tools.
  4. Click on Tools.
  5. When the Tools Center opens click Delete a form.
  6. Scroll down the list of forms and click delete beside  Form 8995.
  7. Confirm on the next screen by clicking Delete Form.

If none of this helps, please reply and let me know which version you are using and what is happening so that I can further assist.

I'm using TurboTax Home and biz windows edition.

I have run the online update MANY times and it says its up to date…….but still NO schedule C or 8995 forms, I have a "do not file" in red when the forms are displayed.

I have asked for the email when the forms are ready, and have not even seen that.

Can you grab a little more information for me? Did you install from a CD or download? Can you please also look at the Help menu, About, then the version tab and tell me what the module and version read at the very top and the very bottom of your list, please?

This information may help me find a solution more quickly.

In the meantime, if you have not done so already, please reboot your PC to see if that will help the software accept the update and get rid of the "do not file" marks on the forms.

A CD that I installed from.   Version 2019.41.11.194

the bottom of the list is a spc.authorization.dll at 3.8.1.0

I rebooted and restarted turbotax.  Still no auto or manual update help there.  Forms Schedule C and 8995 are still unavailable.

Thank you.  I am looking into what might be causing your program to not update - the current version should be 41.18.210.

Since "Check for updates" is not working for you, try this manual update option: TurboTax Manual Federal Update.

Please keep me posted - I will continue to look for other solutions and I will check back again shortly!

The manual updates installs, restarts computer, then says "turbo tax 2019 not installed.  please install and run update again".  no option to search, or any options at all.  Just ends.

tried putting the download into the turbo tax 2019 program folder, moving files around and still "2019 not installed".

Turbo tax 2019 home and business works for me, but trying to re-install it says "files missing - contact place of purchase for update".  I don't think fred meyer has update software...……..I mean...really?

Please go to this link: https://support.turbotax.intuit.com/contact/ and fill out the contact form.  In the box for the help indicate that you cannot install an update for your CD - after you enter this information it will display a phone number for you to call on the next screen.

Doing it this way ensures that your call is routed to the right department and not a generic TurboTax number, and also creates a file for the person helping you that saves a few minutes of time. As of the time of this post, there is no wait time on the line for the number that displays when I type in the term "cannot install update to CD".

The phone agent will also be able to connect to your screen and see better what is going on to aid troubleshooting.

Please also tell the phone agent that a TurboTax employee in Community suggested that you ask if it might work to "push a download" of the program to you to install and start fresh since your CD is having some trouble updating.

We cannot push one from here because it requires personal information that we can't collect in an open forum.

Why would you want to delete the form if it is needed? That does not make sense.

I get this error when I try to install the "Manual" update:

TurboTax *IS* installed on my computer!!

Deleting the form gets rid of the old form, which is the form that is the source of the problem and that contains the errors.  This allows TurboTax to replace it with the new, correct version of the form that is error-free.

Try this to see if this works.

Right click the TurboTax shortcut icon on your computer desktop. Then  click and chose the option to 'Troubleshoot Compatibility', and choose to run the program as Administrator. This may solve the particular issue you are having.

1. Clearing cash and cookies from my browser and restarting it did not help. Then it took forever to continue my return.

2. Changing the TTax shortcut properties to run as administrator did not help either.

I decided to just go over to H&R Block and file. Every time I logged into turbo tax they kept pushing the date further and further out.
