Assuming this question is regarding California Form 100S for an S-Corp, the number of shareholders on Line G flows to the California form from the federal Sch K-1 Wks.
Using Forms Mode in TurboTax Business, click on the first instance of Sch K-1 Wks in the left column. After the form opens, scroll down in the large window to Total number of shareholders... under Total number of K-1's. The number to the right should be in a blue font in a yellow box. This indicates that you can manually enter a number on this line. Be sure you have set up as many shareholders as the number you enter. Then check Form 100S Line G to be sure the number is corrected.
I tried that, but the front is not blue in a yellow box. Are there any other ways I can fix that? I have 1 K-1 on the Federal sch K-1 wks.
Please clarify - are you working in the Federal version of Sch K-1 Wks or the one under California? You won't be able to change the number on the State version.
Your other option is to review your entries under Shareholder Information in the Step-by-Step section of Business Info. TurboTax should count the number of shareholders that you see under Shareholder Information Summary. If you have only one shareholder, you may not see this screen. You could try adding another shareholder, then deleting it to reset the calculation of number of shareholders.
Sorry I wasn't clear earlier. I fixed Federal version of Sch K-1 Wks but the number wasn't refreshed/correct on the State version.
I'm sorry, but please clarify even more - you have only one K1 on your federal return. How many K1s are showing up on your California return?
Federal: Total numbers of K-1 = 1, and California Return is showing 3.
It would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2022" file that is experiencing this issue.
You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions:
At the top menu in the black line at the top of the page go to Online.
We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.

Thank you for helping!
You can delete the incorrectly added Schedule K-1s in Forms mode and the answer to Schedule Q line G should change back to 1.
To do this in TurboTax Business you can follow these steps:
There is one Schedule K-1. There are no blank Schedule K-1 to delete.
So the incorrect number is only showing on Schedule K-1 Worksheet, which says -> Keep for your records. Does this sheet get submitted to the State when I file the return? If it doesn't, I think we can leave it as it.
No, the worksheets are only for your files to see how amounts were calculated to be reported on your return. Worksheets do not get filled with the taxing authorities.
