You do your personal return in Home & Business.  Just enter the K-1 you got from the business return.  You don't need to fill out Schedule C or the Business tab.

To enter a K-1 go to

Federal Taxes Tab or Personal (Home & Business version)

Wages and Income

Then scroll way down to Business items

Schedules K-1, Q - Click the Start or Update button

Be sure to pick the right kind of K-1. There are 3 kinds, 1041, 1065 & 1120S

Enter each k-1 separately.

You use TurboTax Business to prepare your S-Corp tax return. In your S-Corp tax form (form 1120-S), there are Schedules K-1 (one per shareholder).

You use TurboTax Home and Business to prepare your personal tax return.

You enter your Schedule K-1 on your personal tax return.

You can enter your Schedule K-1 by following these steps:

  1. In TurboTax, open your tax return
  2. Click on Federal in the left-hand column, then on Wages & Income on top of the screen
  3. Scroll down and locate the section S-Corps, Partnerships, and Trusts and click on Show more
  4. Click Start next to Schedule K-1
  5. Choose the correct form for your Schedule K-1 (Form 1065, 1129S or 1041)
