FORM 7004 - Line 6, 7 , 8 clarification

In Form 7004, we have:

Line 6: Tentative total tax

Line 7: Total payments and credits

Line 8: Balance due

1. I am including a check for $2,000 as a payment with form 7004. Does this $2,000 get counted in Line 7?
2. So, for example, if Line 6 is $2,000 and I include a check for $2,000, would the balance due now (Line 8 ) be $0.00?
