Issue resolved
How did you resolve the issue? I still have the problem. Thanks!
I decided to skip the problem temporarily. Then I noticed that TurboTax had included the hot water heat pump credit. I figured that TurboTax just filed in my home address--but later it asked me for the address. I had to input it twice, but it now seems to have taken.
Good luck!
Sorry, but this part of your response is really confusing to me: "... skip the problem temporarily."
TurboTax won't let me click Continue because I have not entered the address (which, unfortunately because of apparent bug, is not possible).
So what steps did you use to temporarily skip the problem?
Thanks!
Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. I was able to input the cost. Then I got to the greyed out screen for the address and got stuck. I figured I'd have to do some work around and I just left that section--I didn't get stuck-- and went ahead and entered the rest of my data. Somewhere in the process--review maybe--turbotax asked me for the address and I was able to enter it.
Maybe the only way to get unstuck would be to delete the energy saving entry (e.g., hot water heat pump) and hope to be able to fix it later.
Ah, okay I see what you mean now.
It sounds like I ended up doing basically the same thing you did. I could not type into the gray box and the Continue button did not respond to a click. So I saved the file and exited TurboTax. When I returned, TurboTax was no longer displaying the page with the gray box.
I continued with other sections and then as another member mentioned, TurboTax later prompted me for the address during the review process.
Thanks for following up! 🙂
