Completed business return for LLC filing as S-Corp using turbotax business 2020 CD; but it does not let me transmit

Has any body efiled S-corp returns for 2020. when does the season start ? I get an error message saying that you can transmit when intuit tax filing season starts but does not mention the dates.

E-filing is currently available for S-Corps. returns.  Do you get an error message when you try to transmit?

It may be that your return contains forms have not yet been finalized.  If your return contains one of these forms you will not be able to file your return until the form is ready.   For current information on forms availability please click on the applicable link below:

January 31st, according to the TurboTax Help article (link below).

It's January 31st today . I tried to transmit . I still get the same message that the season has not yet started.

I would be willing to bet that you did not have the most recent update when you tried to transmit.

Try updating your software and transmitting again.

I was able to file my returns. I just had to wait till the working hours on jan 31st.

Happy Holidays!

I called in last year after purchasing tt business 2019, NYS & NYC downloads to inquire how to efile NYC Scorp return, (as I did not see anywhere that the program does not support efile for NYC) & the gentlemen I spoke to advised I should have reviewed what forms were supported & available for efile with the program before I purchased, (State Forms Availability for TurboTax Business, 1st link below). In addition, he said he did not know why it was not yet supported & anticipated by 2020 it would be as other programs available support NYS & NYC efile.

Does anyone know if tt business 2020 supports efile for NYC Corp tax or where I can find a list of supported forms for NYC? I looked on the New York S-Corporations & Corporations Form Availability lists, (2nd & 3rd links below), but do not even see form NYC-4S listed. I searched for a list of available forms for NYC but only found a post listing states not available in tt business, (4th link below). This list shows NYC as unavailable for Fiduciary only, (last link below). I called support 2xs this week, both reps said they could not find anything that states it is not supported or that it is supported for 2020. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

Even if your  2020 program is ready to efile the IRS is not ... efiling for any business returns have closed for 2019 and earlier  and the 2020 system will not be operational until mid January at the earliest.
