Not sure what you mean by "auto selected installments"---- but I suspect you are getting confused by the 1040ES vouchers that printed out.
Those are not for paying your 2023 tax due. You are supposed to pay 2023 tax due by midnight on April 15, 2024. Those 1040ES vouchers are for paying quarterly estimated payments for tax you might owe for 2024 -- to help you avoid a big tax bill next year at tax time and to help you avoid an underpayment penalty.
The 1040ES vouchers are not sent to the IRS when you e-file. They are for your use if you choose to use them. If you do not want to make estimated payments you can ignore them.
Yes thats is what I am talking about and there is a $77 penalty on my 1040 line 38 that shows on my return, just questioning why this is.
