It doesn't update. I downloaded and ran the manual update but the program would not start after the update - the program simply closed. Tried to update in compatible mode but now I receive the error "Sorry but your system doesn't meet the minimum requirements. Memory (2048MB). Is there a way to install a clean/new copy of TT 2020 Home and Business? Or is there a work around to get my copy working?

It depends. You may need to delete and reinstall the software. To uninstall, you need to go to the Control panel in your return. Then under programs and features, select uninstall program.
After this is selected, find Turbo Tax 2020 and then select uninstall. Once this is gone, try reinstalling your CD complete with the License code. Once it is fully installed and functional, you will need to find your 2020 tax file in your computer. If it is stored in your computer, select Find a tax file, which is a blue hyperlink on your landing page and this will show you the tax file for your 2020 return. Select it to load the tax data into your return.
Once your original tax return is restored in your return, go to.
I found the original CD and the license code for my 2020 Turbotax Home and Business - if that makes a difference.

Thank you DaveF1006,
Worked like a charm. Turns out the laptop I installed it on didn't have a DVD player, but I found the original installation file in my download folder. In Windows 11, uninstall is found in Settings. Once uninstalled I ran the install file as an administrator and upon starting the program the updates took a while but completed successfully. I was a little concerned when TurboTax2020 closed after the update, but upon restarting it it appears to run as intended.
