Because I started my taxes late, I was in a hurry so when TurboTax suggested I could continue without transferring my 2023 Taxes, I went ahead and started my 2024 return, not realizing this could cause a problem later.
I wonder why TurboTax didn't suggest looking for my 2023 files under a different account. I tried to sign out of TurboTax, so I could sign in with another account. Every time I exited TurboTax and opened it again I couldn't open it with another account. it was extremely frustrating.
In checking my computer for the 'TurboTax 2023 Document' file there was only my '2023 Tax PDF' file. It is weird because all other tax years have both types of files.
Is there a way to upload the 2023 TurboTax data file to my nearly complete 2024 Return? IF I FIND IT??

First, please confirm what version you are using for 2024 and what you used for your 2023 return. This year are you using 2024 Online TurboTax (web browser version) or the 2024 desktop TurboTax (installed software)? And last year for 2023?
If you have multiple online accounts, we can tell you how to look for multiple accounts to hopefully find the *.tax2023 data file--IF it was prepared online last year. What you can do with it at this point, however, depends on what version you are using for 2024. However, in both Online TurboTax and desktop software, you can only transfer a *.tax2023 data file into a new return.
