I had a business registered as a LLC Sole proprietor lin 2018. This business has been dormant and no activity since registration. I filled in a Schedule C with zero income and expense on my Home & Business version of the software. This schedule C shows up on the software while entering.. but NOT included in the documents that will be efiled when I PREVIEW the reports. I would like that SCH C included in my efile. How to get this done?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You cannot file a form that has no income or expenses on it. So, when it's all said and done, this will not be e-filed so it is not included on your return. There is no point to it.
Since it is a dormant sole proprietorship there is no need to file for it. If you absolutely want a Schedule C attached for some reason, you would need to print and mail and manually fill out the Schedule C and send it with your tax return.

In California, all registered entities are subject to a Franchise Tax Board assessment of $800 per year minimum and thus a tax return needs to be filed even with no activity.
Is there a way to force print the Schedule C as now I need to go in the amend my 2019 and 2020 taxes since that was not e-filed and I am sure there will be penalties coming with it.
