I don’t have business tax ID

You do not need to have a business tax ID [Employer Identification Number. (EIN)],  you can use your Social Security Number (SSN) for your business.

To indicate this for your Schedule C in TurboTax, follow these steps:

• Type "sch c" in the search bar and click search
• Click on the "Jump to sch c" link
• Click "Edit" next to your business
• On the Your XXX Business screen, next to Business Profile, click Update
• On the Let's confirm your business info screen, scroll down to Employer ID Number and click Edit.
• On the Enter Employer ID Number If Any screen, click on No and Continue.
• On the Employer ID Number screen, click on Continue (DO NOT APPLY FOR EIN).
• Continue through the onscreen interview
