I am trying to enter a computer I bought as an expense under my schedule C writing income, but the dialogue keeps looping me back to the beginning and won't let me

If you are trying to enter it as an asset but you say you want to expense it instead the program takes you back to the expenses section to make the entry ... you will NOT enter this as an asset as well.

Can you explain this as well? If I try to enter it as an expense, it takes me to through the asset dialogue and drops me back at the beginning. I would like to expense it but I can't figure out how.

Ok ... you need to read the screens carefully ... the misc exp section is at the bottom of the list under Less Common Expenses ...
