How do I get turbo tax to just let me enter things as it did in the past?

We do not know what you mean by "let me enter things as it did in the past." We do not know what you did in the past. What is the problem you are having with entering your information?

There is an option when you start the process that asks if you want to be guided through the filing process or you can choose what you work on. And here are steps for Desktop users.

TurboTax Desktop

Open your return and select Federal Taxes. ...
Select Deductions & Credits.
When asked how you want to enter your deductions and credits, select I'll choose what I work on.
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the Your 2023 Deductions & Credits screen and select Done with Deductions.
