Has anyone else experienced delayed W-2 e-file processing with QuickBooks?

I’ve purchased QuickBooks Quick Employee Forms and have successfully e-filed multiple 1099s with no issues. However, for the past 12 days, my W-2s are still showing “EFILE PROCESSING.”

When I hover over the status, it says “Processing forms at the SSA.”

I just want to make sure this is normal and that there’s nothing additional I need to do on my end. I’m concerned about the delay and want to be certain the filings will go through correctly.

Has anyone else run into this recently?

• Is this just an SSA backlog?

• Did yours eventually update without intervention?

• Is there any follow-up step I should be taking?
