Can retired military on Tricare Select working as a 1099 Contractor deduct health and dental premiums?

Hello 

I am a military retiree and receive my health insurance through TriCare Select, and dental insurance through Tricare Dental program.

I still actively work as a 1099 contractor and generate sustainably more income than my premiums cost. Am I allowed to deduct these premium costs?

Premiums can be an adjustment to income no matter which insurance company you pay.

My monthly premiums for family coverage and covers both my wife and myself. Do I divide the cost in half for my deduction or can I deduct the entire monthly premium?

As long as your wife has no employer provided  insurance you can claim it all.
