In previous years TurboTax Delux or Business always asked about the Massachusetts commuter expense deduction. (You can deduct rail passes and EasyPass fees as long as they were paid with after-tax dollars.) This year in Delux, it is missing, and you can't even go in manually to fill in Line 15 on Schedule Y.
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
This deduction is available in the Massachusetts return in TurboTax Deluxe. See the screenshot below for the screen Additional Massachusetts Deductions, where you would check that you had commuter expenses.
If you don't see this in your program, you may need to update your program by clicking on Online at the top of your screen, and choosing Check for Updates.
If your program is updated, delete your MA return and start it over fresh.
