My business was registered as a c-corporation, but everyone was issued a 1099 for 2020. The 1099s have already been done. How do I skip referring this information?

So your C-Corp did not have employees and only had 1099 contractors then make sure you enter these expenses in the correct places in the program.   If you already completed the 1099/1096 forms then choose to open the tax return.

Instructions for TurboTax Business to open the 1099 section:

  1. Launch TurboTax Business.
    • If you're already working on a tax return, you'll need to close it first. Select New Tax Return from the File menu in the upper-left corner, then answer Yes to save the return you currently have open.
  2. Click Prepare W-2/1099 near the bottom of the opening screen.
  3. On the following screen, select how you want to prepare your forms (online or on your computer) and follow the onscreen instructions.

if you are performing services for the corp and not taking a salary someday the IRS might just inquire about this. if you are paying yourself but issuing a 1099 that can also result in an IRS inquiry. services performed by an employee are supposed to be reported on a w-2.
