I need to amend my 2017 tax returns. Can I use turbotax to amend my 2017 tax returns? BTW, I used a different tool to file my 2017 personal returns.

Turbo Tax 2018 can only amend 2018 tax return.   The amended forms will be available in the middle of February.

With your 2017 taxes it will have to be amended by the tool you used to prepare your 2017 return.

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, that tool does not support amending tax returns. If I get a 2017 turbo tax tool, would I be able to generate the 1040X form and other relevant amended tax forms?

You would not only have to purchase the desktop program, you would have to first re-create the original return on Turbo Tax THEN add the amendment/changes.
