Hi i have had my federal tax return for about 2 weeks i have yet to get the state tax return depoisted yet. Is it normal for the state to take this much longer?

Yes, it's normal. Each state is different and states vary on when they send their refunds via deposit deposit or check. For example: one year, the state of IL sent a large number of refund checks in September.
