I go to the WMR site and it says We can not provide any info about your refund. To call IRS and give Ref# 9001 what does this mean

To the people waiting, thats all you can do. Wait for the ID verification in the mail, because that IS what this code means. It took me 19days to get my letter, as with everyone else who are now slowing getting their letters if you have followed all these comments. Everyone who received the letter also called and was told everything was fine and no letter was sent, but it was. And you have to have it to ID verify, as well as your last filed return. So instead of waiting get prepared and get all your paperwork w2s etc ready to verify.

Update: I commented on this post 16 days ago I filed on the 29th, days after recieved the infamous 9001 code. I recieved a 5071C letter today dated for Feb 14th. I tried to ID verify online and it wouldnt take my student loan account number so I called and I am on hold , have been on hold for 10 minutes the wait time is 15-30 so they say. I had EIC and CTC and also had to file a identity theft theft report with the FTC late last year due to speeding tickets and a misdemeanor charge (maybe that could be the reason Im not sure)! I know one thing for certain...Im sick of the anxiety ..If not required by law I will not file next year Im sick of this shit!  I will update after I speak with someone.  This will be my first time calling the IRS this entire tax season! I got a letter today in the mail. I needed to verify my identity. I was on hold for 40 minutes and it took them 3-5 minutes to ask me the questions . They were very basic questions too.

UPDATE I called earlier and the lady was nice but she said I had the 9001 reference number because last year I was denied EITC and they approved it this year she said I’ll be getting a letter it was sent out on the February 18 well that’s the date on the letter I got the letter in mail today when I got home but she said I’ll be receiving it in a couple days it came today anyways she said that’s all I had to do and in the letters it said I don’t need to do anything at this time all the letter said I was successfully recertified for the credits the same thing she said the letter would say ok so about my refund she said I should receive it in 6-8 weeks a long ass time but the letter said if I haven’t already received it I’ll receive it in 6 weeks

This one lady said you also need your w2s from 2017 and 2018 I don’t have my w2s from 2017 after my refund was received I shredded them.  I’m livid and can’t get a turbo tax person on the phone st all
