Will you please help amend 2024 return in desktop TurboTax? The 1040x form does not load. It opens my return but does not allow me to enter the additional 1099-int.

I read all posted instructions and this should be easy. Program is updated same day, computer is rebooted.

With the 2024 desktop program started and the tax return you want to amend Continued -

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home & Business)

Click on Other Tax Situations 

Under Other Tax Forms

On Amend a return, click on the start button

when you start Turbotax and it opens do you click on the blue amend link?

Yes.  I clicked on the link to amend after I opened the 2024 return i need to amend.  I navigate to the 1099-int and can see the ones I entered originally BUT when  i click to add one, the screen is blank and in the lower left corner it says "no form".  I need to add a 1099-int.

I just tried to amend that way for an added 1099-INT and it worked OK.  I didn't get any blank screens when I clicked on Add Investments on the page that  shows the items entered previously.

A couple of things to check:

1)  I'm on a Windows 11 computer....might be a MAC thing if you are using a MAC.

2)  IF you are suing a Windows computer, double check the Windows OS update situation.  A partially-installed windows update has been known to cause similar screwy problems.  A update was issued in the past week or so....at leas for Windows 11.

3)  IF using windows and all else seems OK.   Try downloading the TTX "Manual Update" and install that to see if that fixes it.  (Be patient.....that update procedure can take 10-20 minutes....slooooow).
